And when he stood on the highest step of the medal podium, he couldn’t stop smiling.

“It was everything I imagined,” he said. “I’m smiling. Cheesing. Having the best time of my life. Because, you know, this might not come around again.
“It was very, very special and I was just trying to take it all in.”
Curry didn’t have much else to accomplish with four NBA championships, two league MVPs and a Finals MVP already won. The one thing he didn’t have was an Olympic gold medal; he was injured in 2016 and opted to pass on the pandemic Olympics of 2021.
